Aid With Supplies
With the Ebola virus many people die in isolation, after caring for and watching their loved ones succumb to the disease. Additionally, due to lack of medical supplies and poor training, the disease heavily infects many health care workers. In Liberia alone, 36 out of 53 health care workers infected died (from March 22 – July 31). You can help protect a life by providing much needed supplies.
Raise Awareness
Raising public awareness is a critical part of prevention work. Ignorance fosters the spread of this deadly virus. We are working tirelessly to stop the spread of this virus, but we can’t do it alone. We need your help! Our awareness efforts are two-fold – (1) raising awareness in Liberia on ways to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus and (2) mobilizing internal and external support to prevent, contain, treat and eradicate Ebola in Liberia and beyond.
Advocate For an Intervention
In order to contain the Ebola virus and stop its spread, the global community must intervene, and quickly. The health care systems in the most heavily infected countries, namely Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, do not have the capacity to handle the burdens of the disease.
Donate
We are working with several organizations to gather much needed preventative and medical supplies for both the hospitals and communities in Liberia. View our list of needed medical supplies. To partner, please contact us at either info@liberiansagainstebola.org or liberiansagainstebola@gmail.com.
